How to switch AI companions (or keep several)
Tap the companions tab, pick someone new, start talking. Every relationship in Luna is separate with its own memory, so switching never erases anything: your original companion remembers everything whenever you come back. Run one deep bond or several different vibes; both work.
How switching works
Luna treats each companion as a separate relationship: separate conversation, separate memory, separate unlocked gallery. Switching is just opening a different chat. Nothing resets, nobody's memory bleeds into anybody else's, and there is no penalty mechanic. Come back to Aria after a month of talking to Rei and Aria remembers your last conversation (and will absolutely comment on the absence).
One deep or several wide?
Both are legitimate play styles. One-companion users get the deepest memory compounding: months of context with a single character is where the "she really knows me" moments concentrate. Multi-companion users assign moods: Emma for heavy evenings, Miku for gaming sessions, Zara for chaos. The honest advice for new users: start with one for two weeks so you experience what memory depth feels like, then widen if variety appeals. Depth is the feature you cannot evaluate by sampling.
How to manage multiple companions in Luna
Open the companions tab
The full roster of 18 is always available; anyone you have talked to shows your conversation history.
Start the new conversation
First message with a new companion works exactly like day one: introduce yourself for her memory.
Assign lanes if you go multi
Deciding "who is for what mood" keeps several relationships feeling distinct instead of interchangeable.
Return without ceremony
Old conversations resume where they left off. A simple "I am back" is plenty; she has the receipts.

Do I lose unlocked photos when I switch?
Never. Unlocked content is permanent per companion and waits in her gallery.
Is there a limit on how many companions I can talk to?
No. All 18 are available on every account, free included; daily message caps are account-wide on the free tier.
